Brett Landscaping & Building Products is looking for an organised and proactive HR Administrator to join our team at our head office in Barrow upon Soar. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting people across all areas of the employee lifecycle.
As the first point of contact for HR support within the business, you will provide guidance to managers and employees on HR systems, policies, and procedures while supporting operational and commercial HR activities across our sites in Barrow, Cliffe, and Poole.

About Your Role
- Provide first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on:
- Employment policies and procedures
- Contract queries
- Learning and development
- Occupational health referrals and monitoring
- Support the onboarding and induction process for new starters across all operational sites.
- Maintain and update HR systems and databases, ensuring employee records are accurate and up to date.
- Produce HR documentation including letters, meeting notes, reports, and hearing documentation.
- Coordinate internal and external learning and development activities, monitoring progress and producing regular reports.
- Support the management and continuous improvement of HR systems, including employee training and document updates.
- Liaise with external providers to ensure smooth delivery of HR-related services.
- Provide administrative and HR support to the Senior Management Team, Group People Team, and line managers on employee relations and case management matters.
- Support people-focused forums, ensuring actions are tracked and completed in a timely manner.
- Produce monthly HR reports and analyse data to identify trends and support business needs.
- Assist with recruitment activities where required.
We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident working independently while managing multiple priorities.
You will ideally have:
- CIPD Level 3 qualification (minimum)
- At least 2 years’ experience using HR systems such as Dayforce, IFS, Sage, Workday, or similar
- Previous onboarding experience
- Strong numeracy and reporting skills with the ability to analyse HR data
- A good understanding of UK employment law
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to multitask and work autonomously
- Previous experience in a busy HR or administrative environment, with at least 3 years’ HR-related experience preferred
- Education to A-Level standard or equivalent
