  • About The Role

    We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Terminal Supervisor with an electrical or mechanical background to join our team and be involved in all operational aspects of our cementitious products terminal operations. As a Senior Supervisor, your key responsibility is for the safe operation and management of a small team involved in the company’s product importation cycle.  This includes (but is not limited to) unloading imported cementitious material and loading out of flat stores into day silos and thereafter to road tankers. 

    We are looking for someone with an engineering and/or strong operations background to assist senior management in operations and maintenance of all onsite equipment, supervision of staff and service providers to ensure a reliable product movement in a safe and cost effective manner.  

     

    About Your Role

    • Identification, forecasting and management of maintenance activities across the site (Vessel unloaders, bucket elevators, silos, mobile plant).
    • Oversee day to day operations of the terminal 
    • Inspection of equipment to identify maintenance needs & initiate rectification
    • Maintain exceptional levels of Health and Safety adherence
    • Managing all SHE processes - permissions, permits and LOTOTO
    • Management of staff and control of contractors
    • Co-ordination with suppliers, contractors and vendors to ensure availability of resources

    We're Looking For

    • Strong electrical/mechanical engineering or operations background
    • 5 years experience in either electrical or mechanical jobs
    • Experience of Operating and maintaining plant equipment
    • Experience of implementing and managing Health and Safety systems
    • Proficiency in H&S regulations
    • Leadership and management skills
    • Technical knowledge
    • Financial awareness
    • Experience in working in an industrialised setting, bulk materials movement and operating maintaining fixed and mobile plant a distinct advantage.
    • Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends and holidays as required by operational needs
